Definitely is. Something I had witnessed/felt when posting ~6am Eastern but hadn't proven until now. Now I wonder how many sats I have left on the table posting later in the day, once I finally finish editing (versus waiting the extra day).

also one more bonus of posting "early" is that you could easily rank into the top post with more zap ranks.

I had noticed the same with early posts.
I wonder if it's driven by the reward schedule: early posts have more time to climb the ranks and earn more rewards.
Maybe an upcoming rewards experiment can vary the timing of the rewards calculation. cc: @k00b and @ekzyis

Great point. Kind of bizarre how the comments by time of day are the complete opposite to zaps.
People mindlessly zapping with their feet in the mornings, versus commenting whilst munching down a sandwich nearer lunchtime.
