Hi privacy lovers, I like to come up with bitcoin use cases, I am currently in the first stages trying to build an opensource tool, although I still miss some concepts, especially in the backend as I have usually been more involved in the UI side.
First thing is to keep in mind user privacy, so of course collecing data like name, phone or real time location is unthinkable, but the fact is I have in mind to add some functionalities where it would be necessary to verify if user is or not within a specific city.
So I would like to know possible privacy-friendly and secured solutions in this scenario.
Any suggestions are welcome, thanks for reading, sat

Enya was a company working on randomizing GPS data to locate you on a small radius respecting your real location.. The results where an approximation instead of a real location This was back in the COVID days.. Not sure if they keep working on that

I'd just say collect the minimum and store it for the minimal amount of time necessary to fulfill your target use cases. I think there's a course-grained way to get location but how fine does your app need?

I meant country instead of city. I need the user to prove that he is from a certain country without revealing his private data
