Cream was a supergroup formed in the late 1960s. A power trio, the band members were Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, and Ginger Baker. Their bluesy, jam focused live shows were legendary, so I chose their interpretation of Robert Johnson's classic, though it was not easy to choose from so many gems. Perhaps they all sold their souls? Here's Crossroads:

Were they formed as a supergroup? Or did they become more super in their individual endeavours? I know Clapton went onto be huge. But I can't say I have heard much out of jack Bruce or ginger baker since.
Wicked track as always Jerry.

They were formed as a supergroup. Clapton had already made his name with The Yardbirds. I don't remember Bruce and Baker's old bands. Clapton of course had the most successful later career. Ginger Baker was the drummer for Blind Faith, another super group that I have to pick a track or two to play. Both Baker and Bruce have passed. Baker was a very odd individual. There is a documentary about him on Netflix, I think, which is worth a watch.

I'll definitely have to give it a go.
I'd never heard of the yardbirds. I always thought cream was Claptons rise to fame.

The Yardbirds were big. Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page (Led Zep) all played with them.

I'm very surprised my music education didn't involve them. I shall need to go back to my old man and his mates who introduced me to that era and slap em upside the head for missing the yardbirds 🤣
