Today I've decided something that might well go the opposite direction of what've preached here (Nostr).
Started to rebroadcast all my streams to the following:
-Kick
-Trovo.live
-Youtube
The reason? I don't think enough people are aware of zap.stream (a Nostr base streaming platform), I'll chill as much as I can without being obnoxious. There is no marketing team for Nostr or any client, we are the marketing team!
Part of me felt like I was betraying myself. I started this journey a couple years after Nostr was brought to my attention. Tired of legacy or traditional social media, I decided to delete all my accounts (Facebook, Twitter, etc)... The incentives there were just to... Let's say artificial and bloated with ads and just an overall feeling of superficiality, let's put it that way.
This might be stupid for some people but it really troubled me for days. On the other side of things, bringing people to freedom tech shouldn't be a bad thing. On Nostr I understood one thing: we like to see stuff that goes accord to our believes ( echo-chamber, let's call it that).
And here I am, not questioning myself anymore but wondering about your thoughts about this topic.
I look at it like migration from one country to another. If people can get the same content or experience in their native land, why should they move? If the experience really is better and can't be reproduced then it becomes a reason to put in the work.
The best reasons to move to Nostr are so you can't be canceled, to control the algorithm to see the accounts you want to see, and to get zaps. If those come through your stream then I can see it working as a draw. I see your streams are of gaming so I can see it working if you get a nostr-only chat up on the screen and show zaps coming in
As far as streaming goes, that all takes time streaming regularly with a popular game. Watched for a couple minutes and I feel your voice could be louder. Other than that it looks really good! Have you been streaming for long? Wishing you luck and I hope you have fun with it!
I agree. It's all about finding something new that works better than the old.
As far as my stream goes, I do only have chat enable for zap.stream to show in my screen. Not sure if I just wanna play the latest games tho, I'm kind of stubborn for that, don't like to play what everyone is playing unless I really enjoy it lol which is the case with Monster Hunter.
And thanks for the feedback! fixed that once I saw your comment, it was very low. Most people don't use all their volume to watch videos or streams so I was probably whispering.
