They know that the protocol can't be stopped so they look for ways of adding so much friction that only the really dedicated plebs can put up with jumping through all the hurdles. They lump Bitcoin together with cRyPtO. Hopefully the new rules stay in the EU and the rest of the world does not follow this nonsense.

The ability to do this means to me that government is too well-funded. When the money they print fails to pay their legal staff, Bitcoin will have fixed this.

In my opinion, the people that want custody of their BTC will find ways , and the governments that want their cut and maintain their control will also find their way… it is a VERY long game and we might not even see the golden age of BTC in our lifetime…
