I'm refunding Outer Space reservations because while I intended to build a nostr client I decided I'd provide more value by executing on SN.
Outer Space will continue to provide NIP05 for anyone using it for such, and might still one day host a client, I just don't know so I'd prefer to refund people in the meantime.
I've managed to refund about half of all reservations, but I'm struggling to get in touch with the other half to confirm their NIP57 or, where they don't have a NIP57, be told where to send payment.

I intended to build a nostr client
IMO stacker news counts as a nostr client. I only have two criteria:
(1) can your software post to nostr relays? (yes -- this is an option in stacker news settings) (2) can it read posts from other nostr clients? (yes -- stacker news displays zap messages created by other nostr clients)
It isn't a "full featured" client yet, mostly due to ignoring all "normal" replies to your nostr posts*, but it has enough features to count as a basic client by my definition.
*stacker news, as currently built, only shows replies created on stacker news itself. Replies created on nostr are ignored, and I think this is because they don't currently pay the one sat "fee" stacker news requires. If I were k00b, I wouldn't want to give nostr users a workaround that lets them post on stacker news for free when regular users have to pay

Well said: however, it will be nice if on top of cross-post > post > to NIP-23 we could also have a:
  • comment > to NIP-01 and
  • poll > to NIP-41 and
  • ad-post > to NIP-99
in the settings page

It can. If you enable cross posting to nostr in settings, nostr clients can read your stacker news posts
