You clearly don't understand Russia and Putin. Resources isn't primary goal. Primary goal is to restore empire - from NATO and EU member states that includes Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. If you watch Russian national TV shows, there show hosts and guests discuss that openly for some time regularly.

You should start watching the geopolitical chessboard with emotional or other bias if You want to understand what's going on. I highly recommend starting with ''Zbigniew Brzezínski'' to get an idea why there is a big conflict (again) in Ucraine.

You cannot understand Russia from rational point of view. I believe they will be defeated in Ukraine. They didn't think that's even possibility that "special military operation" will last so long as it already has.
There have been a lot of conquest wars started in history that was doomed from the start, but they were started anyway.

No, I'm from Latvia, born in USSR and know history. I never had illusions about Russia. My German from school isn't even good enough to read German media. Best I could do is to use Google Translate. But I follow not only Western, but also Russian media, as my Russian is good enough for that.

And IMO Russia clearly is winning this war. With high losses too, but they showed the world that their alliance is strong enough to hold stand against a de facto Nato army. That's more than a game changer meanwhile the bloc is pushing forward where UK/USA are losing influence. Look at the debacle in the Red Sea, Afghanistan or Syria and now the rise of Iran that is integrated into a more and more united muslim world. Europe has ZERO words to say on all of this. That's the big story now besides tje interior mess of the US or the rise of the BRICS and the process of de-dollarisation. The Eurozone is done

No, Russia is not winning. How it is winning? Ukraine only have limited arm supplies, training and intelligence from NATO, not boots on the ground. They have no air superiority, etc. Still, they manage to hold the ground against Russian human wave attacks (that always have been only Russian strategy) and do more and more attacks to Russian territory. Russian attacks are mostly failing. And last time Russians had loses comparable to these was World War II.

There is no united muslim word, muslims kill each other more than other people. Sunni and Shia are eternal enemies, Iran and Saudi Arabia aren't friends, they are fighting proxy wars in Yemen etc between each other.

BRICS is mostly a joke, they aren't united bloc, they are bunch of countries with some common interests, but also fight each other for other things (China and India have literal military skirmishes between each other from time to time on the border).
