Actually, I've been using it to stamp a seed into steel washers. Its not as good as a chunk of steel though

Ah, so there's method in your madness. A cheap, tried & tested, clever hack - excellent!
Was it successful? Did you find (and sue) the builder who built that wall? Did they jump, when you hit them, or stay put? (I mean the washers not the builder)
So many questions...
