If we have liquid why we need Fedimint? Liquid is 10 times faster than bitcoin it also supports lightning and blind signatures? I guess the only reason could be that anyone can setup a federation in Fedimint whereas for liquid only big players can become part of the federation but that doesn’t sound like a difficult problem to solve

In theory it can but on chain is always empty so no one needs to use lightning at the moment

You get to pick who you trust with Fedimint. With liquid, you must trust Blockstream.
