pull down to refresh

I went for an overseas community service trip to Thailand when I was in college. I was so bowled over by the friendliness and immense respect paid to us young punks by the Thais. It is still one of my favourite life events thus far.
After I came back, I wrote this and dashed it off to a literary magazine in my country. Beginner’s luck. 🍀 haha. But I guess the emotions I hoped to convey were raw and heartfelt and authentic (though authenticity has lost its power for me since we overuse it these days).
This poem was about capturing a single moment in time. @carlosfandango may approve of this even though it isn’t a haiku haha.
DONT ZAP ME 1000 SATS. I will die of embarrassment Zap me 8 sats, if you must since 8 is a lucky number in my culture haha
I'll sneak zap you more later :)
