HN had a post about this yesterday. how corporations have stolen open protocols.

I mean, I use neither of these, and I can email just fine. Though I'm perfectly aware that 3/4 of the mails I send are backed up, without my permission, on google's servers.

f course email is the best option here. I get turned off by these OTHER ones.
And like the other reply said, you can always get a bunch of mail addresses, in theory you can get as many addresses and you create logins.
Just stay off the gmail.

Does app email-loggin a turn off or a barrier to  you using it?
