I hear you. The value proposition on territories needs to improve and these ideas seem like pretty low hanging fruit.

regardless, I don't believe owners paying 100k sats a month are going to spam enough to do harm on purpose. Maybe implement some code to prevent 10 posts in 1 minute or something like that.

Nah, that's not part of it. That is a champagne problem. We can't prevent this from happening. With more users, more requests will come. We just need to scale our database up ([like we did a few days ago](https://stacker.news/items/406734)). Limiting individual users because of this wouldn't help.

So it was only to discourage spam / encourage posting good content.

Is that a certainty? My understanding is that those limits are partly about avoiding spam as something that irritates users, but also to avoid it as something that can actually harm the site's functionality. Maybe
