My family eats leftovers. We purposely cook extra so we have leftovers.

But we know multiple families that do not eat leftovers. They often give us their leftovers.

Yes, but prefer we cook the right amount. Certain things excepted like spaghetti and frozen quiches, fresh food tastes better!

Yes of course. My wife even packs the leftovers for her bento lunch at work the next day.

I try as much as possible not to waste food. Food costs are high!

Before I married my wife almost 20 years ago I was hanging dinner at her daughters home. I threw some of my plate away. My future step daughter scolded me and said, "We don't do that. I can save it and eat it later."

I married into a future BITCOIN family!

I'm always amazed at what people throw away and also do not take care of.

I think of the sacred principal of Care. Like all crime against other people if theft and all defence against crime is care. The more you care about something and take care of it the more likely that it will take care of you.

This is especially in home food. Home food is a sacred activity. Leftovers are a blessing! I love when I can have my food today, tomorrow as that is energy pulled from today to tomorrow at zero cost.

I read that a leftover is not so saludable. Why? Cause as you re going to cook it again, it will lose nearly all its nutriments (especially for vegetables)

Because at home we always cook amounts that we will eat for 2-3 days. Isn't that what everybody does? It just saves time, plus you can't know the exact amount you will eat while cooking!

Sure, after 2-3 days we would give the "leftovers" to the dogs and cats and cook something else...

We know people that eat the food for dinner, then dispose of the rest because they refuse to "eat the same thing 2 days in a row"

The kicker might be that these people are not wealthy. They are dual-income families who do not have a lot to spare.

Not only saves time, you also save energy cooking a larger amount at once than cooking half of the same amount 2 times. Re-heating consumes far less energy than cooking.

Yes we know some families who don't eat leftovers and it's completely alien. I think my only exception is seafood.
