pull down to refresh

I consider him the greatest Raptor thus far and I'm happy for him to finally be able to play for his home team. Will be cool for him to play under Nick Nurse again too. Go for a playoff push, might even get a chance at winning the east and a shot at the championship if Embiid recovers fully, although I don't like their chances.
Charlotte Hornets guard Kyle Lowry has agreed to a contract buyout, clearing the way for him to sign for the rest of the season with the Philadelphia 76ers, his representative, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports told ESPN on Saturday night.
Once Lowry clears waivers in the coming days, he'll sign a $2.8 million deal with the Sixers, Bartelstein told ESPN.
Good news for him personally, but the east is as deep as it has been in years. Even with a healthy Embiid, I don't like their chances.

I would say both the east and the west have a several teams that are very stacked and no one team is a clear winner of either conference. I feel like it's fun and interesting to watch basketball again, because there is no clear super team or clear winner. Gone are the Warriors vs Lebron in the finals each year days. Unpredictability in sports is one of many key things that make sports fun to watch.

Despite my distate for the 76ers, this is a great outcome for Lowry. I will be rooting for him, but not the 76ers.

Why the distaste for the 76ers? Personally, I don't like or dislike the 76ers; I guess indifference is the word. Still good to see Lowry playing for a contending team instead of rotting in Charlotte. I'm in the same camp as you, rooting for Lowry but not the 76ers.

Probably because I dislike the Eagles so I dislike the 76ers by proxy but I have no ill will towards the Phillies, in fact I cheered for them and went to Philly to watch a game when Roy Halladay was pitching for them.
