Probably because I dislike the Eagles so I dislike the 76ers by proxy but I have no ill will towards the Phillies, in fact I cheered for them and went to Philly to watch a game when Roy Halladay was pitching for them. 

Why the distaste for the 76ers? Personally, I don't like or dislike the 76ers; I guess indifference is the word. Still good to see Lowry playing for a contending team instead of rotting in Charlotte. I'm in the same camp as you, rooting for Lowry but not the 76ers.
