The symbol!
Prince used this symbol, in part, to rebel against his label.
I seem to remember reading in the music papers, that after Prince rebelled against, and left his label Prince got a deal with a national newspaper, to freely give a copy of his latest CD with each paper.
He did this as he realized that it was more lucrative to him than the normal amount from a label release with everyone else taking their cut!

He knew that casting your net wide was worth more than a single fish hook.
He definitely knew what he was doing. And one helluva artist. I'm gutted I never got to see him live. But I do watch the superbowl halftime show he performed in somewhere like... Once a week 🤣🤣 it's just such an epic show.

Woah!

The music of Benin was born from Vodoun worship dances. However, it is the source of major musical currents of the 20th century, from jazz to rock through blues, gospel, Afrobeat, rap. It is to tell this legacy that the BIM project is born !
