These cards are a trap and a fucking lie! Please stop calling them "bitcoin cards" ! Are fucking VISA / fiat cards and should not be promoted in any way! Stop pushing people back to using fiat, please!
If you can't pay your groceries with sats, it is YOUR fault.
  • start convincing your near merchants to accept BTC and help them implement solutions
  • pay only in BTC to those merchants that accept BTC
  • if the merchant doesn't want to accept BTC, fuck it, go to the next one that take it, boycott the idiots.
  • if you go to a merchant with these so called "bitcoin cards", they will NEVER ever adopt BTc, they will simply continue to be scammed by banks never knowing that they can take directly BTC
  • if you really do not have other option, then just pay in fiat damn it, keep your sats.

If I were to boycott all the merchants around me that don't want the tax hassle of accepting bitcoin (I don't blame them) I'd have to grow my own food.
In my country, the state has, though the economic devastation around covid, effectively eliminated most small businesses. In particular, there are no local grocers, only large chain stores and franchises.

tax hassle of accepting bitcoin
LOL statists gonna defend the state, always....
bitcoin is digital CASH money, no more no less.
reply
Fuck you. When did I ever make an impression that I'm defending the state?
I'm just saying the tax code is complicated as it is, and if you want to be compliant and accept bitcoin, that's an extra cost in the accounting department.
And if you want to accept bitcoin "unofficially", good luck (especially with a "Bitcoin accepted here" sticker on the door). There are undercover tax agents roaming around, setting traps for all sort of tax avoiders.

Bitcoin is not for the weak, only for brave.... Please go back to your fiat world.

Bitcoin is supposed to be for everyone.
You live in your own bubble, detached from the reality of the rest of the world, that has to live and operate businesses in much more hostile jurisdictions.
reply
I have news for you: IT IS NOT.
reply
Just because YOU say it, and/or use an image, doesn't make it true.
If you think that, because I do not have the courage to stand up to my government and get mauled by it in the process, I am inferior, of a lower caste, and unworthy of using Bitcoin, then truly GO FUCK YOURSELF. That's not a healthy bitcoin maximalism, it's just pure toxic elitism.
Pay for your daily expenses with Bitcoin
As long as your only daily expenses are Visa prepaid cards

Anonymous cards are illegal in a lot of jurisdictions (like the entirety of EU) because "oh no, terrorists". If they are legal in yours, enjoy while you can, before your government catches on.

Almost 10% take. It will definitely have it's place, but that's not too far from a low-end capital gains tax.

The super cool product we all want but can't have.
(Knock, knock)
AML is at the door.

Scam alert.... Don't fall for it...

These have their place. If you want to spend Bitcoin where it isn't accepted and would rather pay a fee than capital gains taxes.

But how secure is such a card? Have you used it personally?
reply
You are the only person that can see your card details and transactions. You will get a real Satsrefill Debit Card, not some pre-paid gift card.
