Do you even bother trying? Is it beneficial for her to be orangepilled? Any tips?
I've been exposing her over 2 years to various things, even bitcoin meetups and podcasts in the car but it still hasn't really clicked. I even set up a daily DCA for her account.
Maybe the next bull run ๐Ÿ˜‚
Bitcoin rewards personal responsibility. I would suggest doing everything you can to lead by example โ€” using bitcoin as much as possible, thereby incentivizing her to learn about it and use it for herself in order for the two of you to betterโ€ฆ ummโ€ฆ transact ๐Ÿ™‚
(Iโ€™m not suggesting you donโ€™t already do this, BTW. This is just my basic advice, not knowing anything more about the details of your relationship.)

That's a good idea. Assuming you're not married, and that you're having sex, you should pay her each time you have sex. That way she will see the value of bitcoin since that's the only currency you're willing to pay her, and it'll put her in her place regarding engaging in premarital sexual relations. Power to women!

๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ That would be really empowering!
Set up some kind of value for value scheme

I talk to my wife here and there about bitcoin, it's not an interest of hers yet but she is supportive of me investing in it and of the fact that I like it. So I'm happy with that, I stack for the two of us so my personal orange pilling will be enough lol
reply
Doesn't work brother, you're fightning a losing battle, not even my parents can come around, they really can't get around the fact that the way they've always thought and done things could be wrong

If she's a stateist NPC, better to give up on her and avoid at all costs reproducing with her. We have two prime directives as free men: To reproduce and guide children in the ways of freedom, and to eliminate systems of bondage for the good of the next generation that were set up by our predecessors.
I've recently decided there is a dividing line among we the early adopter orange pilled and those whom will not receive the word. It's that we were, somewhere along the way, previously red pilled. Those who maintain receptivity and trust in 'the system' and hold onto a belief that 'experts' in the government, wall street and finance are altruistic public servants of democracy will have a difficult time understanding the necessity of Bitcoin. The reason it exists is because of the harsh reality that there is no sturdy captain at the helm and there hasn't been one for the lifetime of anyone living today. I'm afraid it's greed and subterfuge all the way down and money is their weakest link in the chains of control and thievery.
To reiterate, if she's not receptive of conspiracy theories like JFK, 9/11, Hitler being concealed by the CIA in Argentina, regardless if any of them are true, she's likely irredeemable and you should watch Kassie Jaye's movie to understand what she will do if she gains legal control over you.

Excellent and timely advice, thank you.
She's open to redpills and 'conspiracies' for sure and we're both purebloods. We have a beautiful baby girl and that's partly what's taking up her spare time to get orangepilled ๐Ÿ˜‚
And I agree with what you're saying about being predisposed to redpills. It reminds me of Svetski's article on the Remnant and the Masses. I think she'll get it eventually. It took me 4 years to orangepill my dad!
Will check it that documentary, sounds like it'll shed some more light.

Sheโ€™s supportive and gets it, but isnโ€™t financially motivated and lacks a strong understanding and interest in economics. If I were to pursue it more aggressively, Iโ€™d probably back into it through human rights crises.
reply
Yep, pretty much same exact deal here. The human rights angle is actually genius. ๐Ÿง

Pretty hard to orange pill an imaginary person.
reply
You can transact with her on the testnet.
reply
Even the girls on testnet reject me
reply
Oh no, then some chain even less real than the testnet is needed. BCH, perhaps?
reply
Will never be that desperate

Sold my GF for more sats

My wife is probably the only person I will never orange-pill. She's seen me riding the bitcoin wave for almost nine years now but she doesn't want to have anything to do with it. โ€œIt's too volatileโ€ โ€œIt's going to fallโ€ etc. Oh well... ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ™„
I think. She's still figuring out how everything works but she has her own stack that she tops up whenever she has extra cash lying around.

No
Bitcoin spends most of its time in a bear market.
Unfortunately that's what she remembers & doesn't like to hear facts about HODLing for longer periods of time

We have a responsibility to tell people we care for about Bitcoin, because the earlier they start learning the better, but it should only be a very brief discussion. Not "orange pilling".
Our excitement and enthusiasm for Bitcoin and what it can do for society can come off crazy and over the top for nocoiners. It's just too fantastic and too good to be true.
It's a bit like when hundreds of years ago travellers returned home from distant lands telling stories about giant rats size of humans that hop around carrying their young in pockets (kangaroo), or birds that can talk like humans (amazon parrot) would seem absolutely bonkers. It's just too far out there without any preparation to be able to accept it as truth.
Don't try to push bitcoin on people. Everybody has a different mindset, skill level, risk tolerance, ability to learn new things, etc.
Let people ask you questions when THEY ARE READY for it. And when they do, it's best if you don't try to explain everything yourself, but point them to good resources that have been put together with great care for accuracy. There are many nuances to bitcoin, especially around security. You don't want to be responsible for lost funds because of some unmentioned detail you assume to be self evident.
Unless you're a bitcoin expert and educator of course. In that case go ahead and give the lecture yourself. ๐Ÿ˜

Yes I have.

My girlfriend has bought some bitcoin, on the way to show her how to get bitcoin to her own wallet.
