Fixing bitcoin by changing issuance results in bitcoin, and also a hard fork coin. Splitting bitcoin into two hurts bitcoin (e.g., SegWit 2X, BCash fork). Hopefully this does not gain support of any significance.
Have you considered launching this hard fork? I'm supportive of you launching it so I can sell it for bitcoin
