Today is the last day of Chinese New Year 🧧. My bicultural son happily dashed out with his self-made lion costume to get up close and personal with a lion dance troupe. Seeing how he absorbed himself into this tradition warms my heart because I don’t have to be afraid that he won’t identify himself as Chinese anymore. It’s just peculiar how much he took to lion dancing because I have always found it to be too loud and noisy.
What an adorable scene.
I bet the troupe loved seeing the other lion dancer.
In fact, I'm guessing it brought back memories of doing something similar when they were his age.
Get ready for Hinamatsuri or Japanese Girl's Day on 3rd of March.

That’s the best part about marrying someone not of my race. It’s like we are celebrating something every month. Makes time flow more memorably
Will report then!
