I admit I may not be keeping up with nostr developments, but last time I tried to use the edit function it was pretty hit or miss. Is it good enough to support a wikipedia type function?

I’ve been going through it and it seems to be working fine. There are multiple edits on a single topic which are similar to forks. People can then vote for which edit they prefer. I haven’t been able to vote but I assume it’s because I’m not logged in.
