This map compares its states and Washington D.C. to countries with similar population sizes to provide a perspective on the U.S. population. The data is sourced from Census.gov and Worldometer, with population projections for U.S. states as of December 8, 2023, and other countries as of July 16, 2023.
Wow didn’t expect to find Singapore because we are so tiny! Great that we are represented.
Fun fact: Lake Biwa, Japan’s largest lake is the same size as the entire Singapore 🇸🇬

I wonder how they decided when to update those official names. For instance, why do we still use "Germany", even though that's not what they call their country?
