You have no idea what you are talking about. Read this. It's the fucking commie paper NYT!
'The New York Times reports on America's secret war against Russia since the Maidan in 2014 (via Prof. Glenn Diesen):
On the eve of the U.S.-backed coup in Ukraine (Feb. 24, 2014), the new spy chief of the U.S.-installed government in Kiev "called the CIA station chief and the local head of MI6 ... and proposed a three-way partnership."
The partnership "was not created by the war" as it "took root a decade ago".
Since the coup, Ukraine's intelligence services have become "Washington's most important intelligence partners against the Kremlin".
"A CIA-backed network of spy bases has been built up over the past eight years and includes 12 secret locations along the Russian border."
Secret bases "fully funded and partially equipped by the CIA" have been established.
"Around 2016, the CIA began training an elite Ukrainian commando force - known as Unit 2245 - that captured Russian drones and communications equipment so CIA technicians could analyze them and crack Moscow's encryption systems."
This first installment contained secrets about the Russian Navy's Northern Fleet, including detailed information about the latest Russian nuclear submarine designs. Soon teams of CIA officers were regularly leaving his office with backpacks full of documents."...

Russia the biggest country on earth needs more expansion? Are you kidding?
Maybe the western world needs more ressources for its fiat expansion?
Eu/usa paid one billion dollar for this bloody revolution in ukraine and now its a puppet state. People never wanted this. But its not people who decide, its money. 10years of financed war against own brothers in the east ukraine now and peace was never an option. Russia wanted to stop this ongoing conflict 2 years ago after 8years of war.
The world order is changing my friend. How many wars did america start in the last 20years?
Whats with assange?
America has destroyed so much and killed so many, i do not even want to talk about.
Do you realize that israel has killed more poeple in gaza than the the russians did in ukraine? Now compare the size of gaza to the size of ukraine.
Why do you think russia is losing so many soldiers in the battle? America invaded many states, some of them are still at war, but they never lost so many soldiers. Maybe the russians are really dumb and unable to fight, or they really want to free ukraine and not bomb it to hell like the us military would do.
It's not about what I want, but what Ukrainians want.
why don't you volunteer for the front?
I help other ways, for example, 3D print grenade tail fin stabilizers at home for drone warfare for Ukrainian army on my expenses.

Ukrainians wanted European membership, but are they willing to sacrifice tens (or hundreds) of thousands of dead and wounded for that ? Even if maybe that same Europe doesn't even want them on account of the extremely high level of corruption ? Are they willing to risk their sovereignty for that ? Because it sure seems that Ukrain was no match for Russia (without foreign aid).
I understand wanting EU or NATO membership, but I also understand Ukrain is neighbor to a dictatorial regime with the second strongest military in the world. A regime that doesn't want NATO next to them. In that context, you should tread very carefully as a country.
Compare this to e.g. Poor Little Belgium in WW1. Belgium was neutral and got invaded nevertheless, with lots of foreign support as a result. Today, Ukrain was not a neutral country. They challenged the Russian bear by flirting with the EU and NATO. I can understand you want to join these, but then they should also understand the major risks involved.
In this context, I think it's only reasonable to question further aid and aim for a diplomatic resolution to end this senseless war.
Ukrain leadership gambled and lost against a ruthless dictator, with a tremendous loss of life as a result.

They already have NATO next to them. Two years ago it was short borders with Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, now it's also long border with Finland.
Ukrain leadership gambled and lost,
Only alternative would have been to end existence of Ukraine as sovereign nation and contuniation of hudreds years long Russification policy. And war isn't lost. What are recent gains for Russia? Captured city (Avdiivka) which had 30K pre-war popullation with 16K casualities?
reply
Ah yes, since NATO is already surrounding them, it doesn't matter if a very big neighbor also joins NATO and almost completes the encirclement. Is this your argument?
Don't you see this is all an escalation of the tensions with Russia ? We are isolating them completely, so better be prepared for some resistance.
I am not an expert in Ukrain-Russia relations. But more efforts to remain neutral would have been a better move, in hindsight.
Russia can continue playing this game more than the West.
reply
NATO is defensive alliance, nobody should be afraid their neighbours joining, unless you plan to attack them.
well observed. but please always bear in mind that the Ukraine was armed by England and the United States and positioned as a pseudo NATO army against Russia. as a background, always bear in mind the Maidan coup and the attacks on the Russian population in the Donbass.

One of the reasons why no Ukrainian statesman wants to give up even inch of Ukrainian territory is that it will be political suicide, he will not be reelected afterwards.

Not all Ukrainians would have ability to vote, as parts of country are occupied by Russians.
