Hello Stackers!
It's Friday and we're feeling good, so let's boost our way into the weekend with feel good tracks.
This week, I've got Corner shop - Brimful of Asha.
Let's Talk Music. Share Tracks. Zap Sats.

I was discussing Brimful of Asha with my son a couple months ago while driving back from his taekwondo class. I was wondering what the meaning of Asha was. If it was a person or a slang term for something else. So I had him look it up while we were driving and learned it is a tribute to a bollywood actress named Asha. Asha also means hope in hindi.

It's been quite the talking point today for sure 🀣🀣 was discussing it with 02 #444880

And apparently is pronounced Arsha, with a long vowel sound.

I do not remember if it has been already suggested. But to Jump to the week end it has to be :)

Doesn't matter, we'll do it again 🀘. Cracking track.

Classic, one of the greatest intros to a song ever

The Shires - Guilty

One of the best country bands out there.

Ronan Keating - Lovin' Each Day

Time for some feel good Ronan. This great song is from his first solo album, which is chock full of great songs.

He was a great artist and a massive hit. I'm glad he's enjoying his retirement but I wouldn't object to new music from him πŸ˜‰

Friday Night - Lady A
🎡 Happy Friday Folks 🎡
reply
Really nice voice, I'd not heard of her before. She should find her way into femmes fatales #2 femmes harder, or too femmes too fatales... I'm still workshoping names...
reply
It's the band formally know as Lady Antebellum. The female singer is called Hillary Scott. The band had a big hit with Need you Now. You might recognise that one.

Just because it is Friday

Sia is one of my favourite vocalists. The way she manages to utilise the break in her voice is awesome.

I've never seen that Cornershop video (I know the song). That reminds of of my youth when I used to stack up a bunch 45s on my record player and it would drop them down one by one automatically and play each one - rather like in this video but with (marginally) better music πŸ˜‚ (amazing tech haha). I feel super old now! Good job I still look 25 πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚
reply
It took me far too long to understand what they were talking about in reference to a "45" but even when I understood that reference I've still no idea what a brimful of Asha is 🀣
reply
Funny you should say that, I just looked that up! πŸ˜‚ This is one explanation

Every day's a school day. Always something to learn.

I don't remember how I got this song, but that goofy motif always lifts my mood :)
Happy Friday!

🀣🀣 goofy motif is accurate 🀣🀣 consider my mood lifted πŸ‘Š
