I completed my first dry fast yesterday, after abstaining from solid food and water for three days. I've had past experiences with regular fasting, the last time was 8+ years ago, but was still surprised by how relatively easily my body would adapt to an even stricter regime this time. Don't get me wrong, I was hungry and thirsty at times, but not so desperately, and was still able to manage my daily responsibilities (job, family).
Day 1: I felt hungry around midday, which is typically when I have my first solid meal of the day. The hunger subsided once my body realised it wouldn't be getting any food. Worked a bit in the evening and went to bed early.
Day 2: I woke up feeling fine but gradually became more lethargic throughout the day. It was fascinating to observe my internal organs adjusting. Craved roasted peanuts. WTH! Again, went to bed early.
Day 3: My body felt similar to the previous day, but sensations were occasionally a bit more intense. Hunger and thirst started creeping in at noon again, and i was feeling slightly irritable and grumpy. I had to resist that tempting inner voice urging me to quit. Cooking pancakes for my little one in the evening was a true test of my resolve. I went to bed early.
Day 4: I woke up at 4:30am, was in the kitchen at 6 for break-fast with a massive green juice, a small bowl of porridge, Greek yoghurt, and later, some kimchi.
Day 5: I'm feeling okay. I've lost a bit of weight, but will regain it back soon.
Fun fact: my body didn't produce any body odour. No bad breath or stinky armpits. 😅

Dang that's impressive! Were you specifically trying to get anything out of the dry fast, like autophagy, or were you just doing it as an experiment and test of character?

This was rather an experiment and a bit of test of character. This article gave me the motivation to finally start another fast, after 8 years: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31958788/
I was able to take my body to an unknown territory, and find out it was able to cope with relatively no problem. I find this is empowering.

Did you attain ketosis without keto-breath?

Good question but I don't really know. Maybe not...?
