10cc - Things We Do For Love10cc - Things We Do For Love
Probably my favourite 10cc track and great for a Sunday
view on www.youtube.comThis sends me right back to my childhood listening to the radio. Plus if your from the UK "walking in the wind and snow" feels like everyday.
Past successfully blasted..
10CC! Wow 0b1 coming in hot today.
It's got that lazy Sunday feel good vibe. Great track.
Foreigner - Waiting For A Girl Like YouForeigner - Waiting For A Girl Like You
Maybe we should have a Sunday love songs segment in memory of Steve Wright
view on www.youtube.comMaybe we should. Self promotion Sunday, daily Discussion and in loving memory of Steve Wright Sunday love songs... That's a lot of content in one day. Could bump self promotion Sunday to self promotion Saturday? 🤔 Will definitely need to think on it.
How about Movie Music Mondays?
I was thinking that this has scope and I've got plenty of tracks up my sleeve
Meta Music Mondays did a movie week before the territory existed. I was hoping to be able to run a joint venture at some point with ~Movies but haven't gotten round to putting a pitch together. Been surprisingly busy since Xmas.
Unfortunately the Movies territory has gone 😢 a week or two ago
Would have been a go to territory for me.
Tis the way of things. Very sad 😔 but I too am getting concerned about getting priced out of the territory fees.
Maybe we should do a fund raiser of some kind 🤔 not sure how as we've covered so many bases in the dailies 🤣 and various weeklys.
Would need to be something really cool and special to raise funds for territory fees.
Generating 100k is a big ask of people who want to come here and just listen to some music yaknow. And I want this space as much as possible to remain free for content providers. (I zap them their post fees back so it's effectively free to be providing content).
I'm looking for a drive today
view on youtu.beNot heard MCR in a long while. I think my favourite track of there's is this one.
view on youtu.beThat guitar riff is 🔥
great song!
I wasn't allowed to like them back in the mid 2ks. They weren't heavy enough. But confession time, my sister had "3 cheers" and "black parade" and I didn't protest when she played them 😉
I'm not a big fan of them either, but that Bob Dylan cover they did was powerful!
Yeah that Dylan cover was 🔥
Here it is just because. https://youtu.be/FOuSxal8pf4?si=-3Kyf0-n6WVKfEeZ
Really powerful.
Previously unreleased material from Linkin Park. Here's Friendly Fire. RIP Chester.
view on youtu.beChester was awesome
He was fantastic, it's sad the way it ended but I appreciate what he gave us.
Great choice, excellent track
Steve Winwood - Higher LoveSteve Winwood - Higher Love
Classic '80's music to lift you up on this Sunday afternoon
view on www.youtube.comWicked track. So uplifting.
Keith Urban - Somebody Like You - Live 8 2005Keith Urban - Somebody Like You - Live 8 2005
I saw the Live 8 logo in the Linkin Park video and that brought back some good memories of the 2005 concert.
It was the first time that I saw Keith Urban. I had the TV playing and Keith came on and it was like, wow, who the fk is this. It had been a while since I had heard anything like the music I'd liked when growing up as a teenager. He had elements of Bryan Adams but was country rock as well. It turned out he supported Bryan on a European tour.
This led me in to country music and finding all these great country rock bands.

Really enjoying Keith Urban at the moment. He's got that "if Bryan Adams was country" thing like you mentioned. Just feel good country rock. Great track.
Ed Sheeran - You Need Me, I Don't Need You - LiveEd Sheeran - You Need Me, I Don't Need You - Live
In not just an '80's boy 😂
view on www.youtube.comEarly Ed when he was more edgy, this is one of my favourites. So many to chose from on YT every performance is different.
Linkin Park and Jay-Z performing at Live 8 in Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Parkway on the 2nd July, 2005. Organised by Sir Bob and The Band Aid Trust to raise money to fight poverty around the world, the event was viewed by around 2 billion people.
I watched that on TV at the time. Amazing gig. I always loved the fusion between hip-hop and metal. The Collision Course album is one of my all time favourites.

That was really cool Roll. Super chill for a Sunday. Loved the stripped back nature of it, just his vocals and some really simple instrument sounds.

I thought I saw it in the video, but wasn't sure what it was. You know I love me some strange and unusual traditional instruments.
