His make up kit was donated to a museum after he died - I haven’t seen it other than in a video though. I, along with a lot of people maybe, have a fascination in the tools of a trade of stand out individuals.

On your recommendation my wife and I watched Long Chaney's Phantom Of The Opera. I usually have trouble with silent films, but it worked well with this story. I remember there was no dialogue on Broadway either. Very enjoyable. I didn't know he did his own makeup.
