Is there something like this?
List and bid on small/medium/large jobs that pay in sats equivalent of fiat?
Is this something our community needs or would find helpful?
Is there something like this?
Microlancer is essentially an LN-enabled Upwork (i.e., a client lists a gig they want to find tasker to perform the work specified, and the rate. Taskers respond with their offer to do the work). Microlancer also has added Microlancer Services, which is comparable to a Fiverr (i.e., Advertise your service, and the compensation). Escrow and dispute resolution are performed by Microlancer.

Is this something our community needs
Suitable platforms already exist. What is needed are for employers / clients to be aware of these methods, and to actually use them. There is maybe a 1,000:1 ratio (or greater) between potential freelancers/candidates wanting to perform the work for every gig / task listing available. This is not unique to just Microlancer.
There are a number of altcoin-related platforms that were built to create a use case for their specific altcoin, and they have become ghost towns after the initial funding runs out. There's a network effect that makes gaining traction difficult. And then when the gig platform is successful with the matchmaking between a client/employer and a freelancer/tasker/worker, the platform isn't needed for continued follow-on work -- the employer can just coordinate with the worker directly, no intermediary needed. This is in contrast to, say, Upwork where the platform handles fiat payment from the employer and payment to the worker (which is especially useful when paying the worker requires conversion to a different currency and payment method).
There was a pretty good interview of Paul Itoi of Stakwork, you might find it interesting:

Ultimately, what is needed is not just a alternative to Upwork that takes bitcoin, but an innovation the is better than Upwork and is bitcoin-native. This may be what Arcade City is building. it could be something we haven't even envisioned. Like Microtask Programming, perhaps:

Microlancer imo, I’ve posted many tasks on there and gotten lots of replies. I think the more users the more work will be on there

We are working on something like this with github tickets at Sphinx.chat. Happy to collaborate: https://twitter.com/sphinx_chat/status/1546984217686421504?s=21&t=ErWkVEMMI_CcR2a6Ot9S8w

Everyone's talking about microlancer in here so far but my issue with that site is that it's microtasks like liking tweets or doing monotonous work for small bits of sats. For jobs. Upwork is great because it's middle ground. Not quite "jobs" like here at stacker news and bitcoiner jobs, but not quite microtasks. You can get long term gigs and quality remote work on UpWork.

As a task worker, you are correct -- nearly all the tasks listed are of the variety you describe, ... where because there are no skills required the compensation is trivially low.
But that doesn't mean Microlancer won't work for an employer looking for a freelancer. Many freelancers are on Microlancer already -- you can see the Fiverr-type listings (under Microlancer Services) where they offer to do work, looking for a client. But the client/employer listing a task that is even a small project (e.g., $50 in compensation to design a logo) is few and far between, nonetheless the type of freelancer hiring found on Upwork where it is a need for a developer for X hours at $N rate that would be attractive to a talented developer. And because those types of listings are rare, there aren't a large number of skilled freelancers regularly frequenting the site looking for new listings in which they might be able to earn. It's a catch-22 situation.
But Microlancer is, today, suitable for many of the same type of listings that are found on Upwork, and on the rare occasion those types of tasks are listed, they usually find someone qualified to do the work, and promptly. So it's not like our bitcoin ecosystem itself couldn't use Microlancer for finding freelancers, which would help this staunchly bitcoin-only freelancer marketplace to grow.

Microlancer can be used for small or large tasks. Right now there are many microtask employers, but employers can also post large tasks (with built-in escrow) and workers can post their services. Upwork requires government ID and a bank account, so it's inaccessible for many people. Otherwise you can post jobs in https://bitcoinp2pmarketplace.com or https://bitejo.com (KYC-free and supports on-chain Bitcoin).

KYC-Free for either (or both) the client (employer) and the tasker (worker) is a crucial difference between traditional gig marketplace platforms like Upwork and most bitcoin-enabled platforms (like Microlancer).
It's disappointing that this approach to hiring even just for small gigs is taking so long to be embraced by the bitcoin ecosystem and community.

Microlancer, stakwork and satsforlikes are all making some sort of play for this yes

RIght now, only Microlancer, and there are only Referral type tasks, but I want to build a proper Creative Crowdsourcing site/app on lightning that pays every effort.
