Hey readers!
What's boiling in your head today?
Just curious to know if you ever dump into a cooking book (apart recipes books). A chef story or biography? A novel written in a kitchen? A scifi chef story? Do you have any suggestion for the ~food lovers?
Nourishing Traditions is a good one, I think a lot of Bitcoiners will enjoy the first 80 pages where the author explains all the problems with the modern food system.
Thank you, I'll look into this one
Kitchen Confidential, by Anthony Bourdain.
Such a great book (and man)! He also wrote a really good little bio of Typhoid Mary, examining her through the lens of being a chef.
oh this is a novelty, bookmarked!
Enjoy!
Oh that's a classic and he is a legend! Thanks for the reminder
I think that anyone who's ever worked in a restaurant kitchen will enjoy this one.
M.F.K. Fisher's The Art of Eating remains a true classic 70 years later. One my favorite food books.
Never heard of it and definitely added to my kindle, thank you 🙏
Enjoy! She basically created the modern field of food writing.
The Big Fat Surprise, by Nina Teicholtz. Mind-blowing. I put some more details on the book here - #320715.
