What do you wish you learned earlier about the Lightning Network?

Clear net vs Tor privacy issues.

I early on had a Lightning node with a public IP which gained a good amount of peers and inbound liquidity.
At some point I realized that on 1ml.com and a couple other sites you could geographically track whereabouts the physical node is located.
I was only experimenting with an amount of sats i was comfortable with but the inbound I had back then made me feel uncomfortable and like a honeypot.
Had to travel and leave the node unattended for a couple weeks so I decided to close all channels and sweep my sats.

I learned to set up a new node on Tor a few months later. It was a lot harder to gain peers, getting a power bank and some other gadgets made me feel a lot safer leaving the node unattended for longer with software to safely shut down when battery power is low etc etc.
