In 2013, (or possibly 2012 or 2014) I heard a song on a top-40-esque European show that I used to stream sometimes. The song was by a band I could swear was called "Big Kids" and it was a dude (drummer, I think) and a hot chick (singer) and as part of their schtick, one or both of them wore a crown; and I think the logo of their band had a crown, too. They were from the UK or AUS or NZ. I watched the video many times.
This song was super catchy, and for whatever reason snatches of it came into my head for the last two days, but I CANNOT FIND THE SONG OR THE BAND. Searching for "Big Kids" on every search engine pulls up an overwhelming amount of other bullshit; in addition to the kid-related garbage, apparently there was another band by the same name, that came later, which confuses things beyond repair. I've asked a host of AIs about it, too. No luck anywhere.
It is possible that I have fully lost my mind. It is possible that I have partially lost my mind, and one or another of these details is crucially wrong. But how could there be no trace, esp given that the song was catchy enough to be featured this way? But I can't find it. It is tantalizingly on the tip of my tongue but it just won't come.
Please, for the love of god, can anyone help?

Great find! Sadly, I clicked through to the tumblr link in the article and it looks like the band's site got lost and reclaimed by someone who's just using it to reblog baby pics.

Probably due to that video, babies were made.
reply
Certainly untold trillions of potential babies were not made because of it.

I know, that's the evil genius of it. A good example of how to hide something in the internet age. Not foolproof, but even to stay off every casual radar.
reply
That's them! But the song doesn't seem to be there. Still, surely it is findable now -- thank you!
EDIT: FOUND IT! HURRAY!

I'm glad I could help! I know what it's like to have a song stuck in your head and not be able to find it. Thanks for the sats ... :)

AI says:
The band you are referring to is most likely "The Ting Tings" and the song you are thinking of might be "That's Not My Name." The Ting Tings are a British musical duo consisting of Katie White and Jules De Martino. They gained popularity around 2008-2009 with their hit songs like "That's Not My Name" and "Shut Up and Let Me Go." The band's logo features a crown, which matches the description you provided. The song "That's Not My Name" was indeed very catchy and received significant airplay, making it quite memorable for many listeners.

ya was thinking the same, @elvismercury do you remember any lyrics?
