I don't understand how this could be better than the knowledge of a book that has centuries, if not thousands of years of knowledge. You could build tools with whatever material you had, couldn't you?

yes, but it takes time and effort to MAKE anything 👀 even just figuring out how and where to get the raw material already takes time, and then with all the cutting and burning, much work, how can you survive during this time?
