It shouldn't be a surprise that these sorts of things exist, but it's scary to see it in action.
The summary tool reads each user message from the centralized database, and synthesizes the notable points.
This tool undoubtedly exists for just about every centralized message utility we use: Discord, Slack, Xitter, FB, insta, etc...
Think about the anti-gov takes you might have posted on over the last few years. Sure, you've got an account that's anon from everybody else, but there's no avoiding the State.
Now it's permanent record.
In the 70s, we learned that the FBI had been collecting dossiers on all sorts of groups and individuals. If you were important, or close to it, they had a file on you.
Now the summarizer (and probably dozens of similar tools) is writing your file on their behalf. Soon, there will be a selector tool that puts you on a list for gathering. Then, who knows, maybe you'll get shipped off to a FEMA camp, or maybe you'll die in the shootout, but you won't be able to avoid the State once they come for you.
Your keys may be secure, and that's good for the rest of us... as long as we manage to stay alive and take advantage of the reduced supply of coins.
How can we obfuscate the details of our thoughts from the carnivore machine that eats all the digital flakes of skin that slough off of us as we navigate the intertubes? Writing like this probably isn't the right way to accomplish it.
Maybe there's an obfuscator application that can make it look like i'm reformed. The digital equivalent of a been-to-the-gulag disguise.
If they come after enough people, the fights on.
Rights aren’t given, they are taken and defended with violence.
Negotiation only works if you are willing to back it up with violent action.
If a wolf growls at another wolf, that is a negotiation that says: “we can both conserve energy if you decide to back off - or we can settle this with tooth and claw.”
Young men are poised to fight, around the world, they just need enough of a reason.
For most people, there is only one way out of this. If you are a billionaire, you might be able to hide or run, but the majority of people have nowhere to go. They are cornered. What happens next is what has always happened, throughout history.
