I hope it's a lot of fun. You actually got my wife and I talking about what cruise we want to do next, even though we probably won't do one until like 2026.
I learned I am not a cruiser. It's far too structured for my liking--like living in a city with a bunch of appointments.

I've never been required to schedule anything on a cruise. My wife and I like Norwegian. I think they call their model "free-style cruising". There's a whole bunch of options for what to do and there are always lots of spaces that aren't occupied with events, if your like us and just enjoy walking around and talking.

Have you ever done one of those European river cruises?
reply
Is that the Viking river cruises? My wife wants to do one of those. She has never been to Europe. I went once but that was almost 25 years ago.

Viking is a popular choice but not the only one
I’ve heard River cruise 🚢 in Europe is fun from non cruise travelers

Oh no. I was just asking. We're just getting on a boat right out of NYC. I was always curious about them, but I think I'd rather visit Europe trains, planes and automobiles. I've done it that way a few times over the years. I did take a mediterranean cruise years ago. That was nice.

I have never gone on a cruise. Most is a day cruise out of Florida. I don't know if I like the idea of being on a boat for a week.

For me, I'm just looking at it as hanging around in restaurants and bars with my friends for a week, and no one has to drive.

Depending on the cruise, that's not what it's like. Imagine if every morning you woke up and your hotel was in a new cool place for you to explore.

Viking is the one I was talking about.

Silver seas unless someone acquired them

Where did that go?
I've wanted to do one that goes from Amsterdam to Istanbul, but we haven't gotten around to it yet.
