I recently bought a used Switch. The whole reason was to play Breathe of the Wild.
Ocarina of Time on the N64 is one of the greatest games ever made. It's a beautiful story, great character development, and there was plenty to explore. I have memories of telling friends when we discovered a new quarter-heart container location hidden somewhere we had not found yet. This was before you could look anything up on the internet.
I had played some of the other ones over the years. Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, started Twilight Princess but did not finish. None had the story that Ocarina of Time had.
Don't know how many hours I've logged on BOTW but I'm loving it. It blows my mind that a 7 year old game can look and feel so breath taking. The climbing and gliding aspect in this massive, beautiful world makes it an incredible gaming experience.
I normally don't enjoy doing a look of inventory management/cooking/crafting, but they made it enjoyable.
Also appreciate that they made it challenging. That's a hard balance to find with games. Too easy and it's no fun, too hard and it's really no fun.
Money talks. You can buy a new copy of BOTW for 74,000 sats ($51) on Amazon and the new Tears of the Kingdom costs 81,000 sats ($56). Great staying power.
I can see me enjoying this for many more hours.
Do any seasoned players of BOTW have any good pointers or things to go explore in game? I know there a butt loads of youtube videos, so not looking for that kinda stuff.
Want to hear from casual gamers and their take or thoughts on this beautiful game.
