Not to sound like a skeptic, I just want some more ammo against normies. I’ve yet to find a post that answers this question directly. I’m new to SN so if there is an older post that answers this, please link it for me.

No, Bitcoin does not solve all of the world's problems. Humans will be humans, shitty when the opportunity arises. However, the fact that one does not have to rely on a middle-man to make trustless, decentralized, and censorship-resistant transactions, already removes a vast array of cases where humans have shown themselves to be shitty. At least when one uses Bitcoin in that way. There have been plenty of examples in recent years where those 3 properties were not satisfied and people acted shittily again (counterparty risk when lending out Bitcoin, IOU's when buying into an ETF, etc), so it's quite limited, yet very powerful, at solving one specific problem if done correctly.

I use lightning and liquid, but store of value is most important to me. My problem as a young stacker is the fact that i’ll never be able to afford a house in fiat land, so bitcoin is really the only solution i see right now.

For affording a house in fiat land, lobbying for better zoning can be very helpful. A lot of residential zoning is actually illegal to build anything bigger than single family housing.
However, the people who live in that single family housing will fight tooth and nail against your efforts. So good luck with that.
Having said that, the fact that housing is unaffordable even in uninhabited areas is pretty dumb. Most of the United States is pretty empty and yet....maybe some lobbying success can be found there?
Otherwise, you could do what everyone seems to enjoy doing these days. Move to a country that's just cheaper, however, in doing so, the people that live there may experience unaffordable housing as a result.
Whatever community you end up in, try to take care of your people rather than spiting them selfishly as is the case most of the time.

With Bitcoin you can pay money directly to anyone around the world, 24/7, without any intermediaries, with almost no fees.
Anyone around the world can receive payments from you, they don't need a bank to open an account. They only need an Internet connection and a device connected to it.
In the same way, you can get paid money from all around the world, with no merchant fees, actually receiving Bitcoin is free as the mining fees are paid by the sender.
Also, it is completely transparent. Every single transaction since Genesis can be looked up.
It's really a game changer.
