At what point are we no longer “Bitcoiners?”

We don’t label people as “fiat-ers” because fiat is the standard. So at what point does the label “bitcoiner” cease to exist? How many nation states need to adopt bitcoin before we are the majority? What percentage of people need to use bitcoin?
Personally I don’t see myself as a bitcoiner (what even IS a bitcoiner?). It’s just money to me. I like the coin. I don’t force bitcoin into conversations. If it comes up, I might say a thing or two. I just think that trying to force-pill people has never been the right approach. However I do enjoy engaging with you all simply because we think along the same lines. So how many of us need to align our thinking and our values to dethrone the ugly fiat?

According to some (e.g. @DarthCoin), you must live Bitcoin, go all in, to be called a bitcoiner. So most of us have never been bitcoiners. Strict definition but fair enough.

exactly. bitcoin is a tool that only small number use today.
We stop being the “weirdo / bitcoiner” when you don’t have to ask a merchant:
“do u accept bitcoin?”
that seems like a long while away still.

Well I’m just not sure how I’d get my groceries if the grocery stores only accepted bitcoin.

I think the point of having bitcoin is not to use it for everyday things. Its to use its store of value to bargain against. Does that make sense? I think everyone believes that you would be able to take small loans from the value of the bitcoin you own.

I see what you’re trying to say. I know we will all take advantage of borrowing against our stack. All I’m trying to get across is that a merchant may only accept bitcoin, therefore forcing me to pay with my bitcoin.
My first choice would be to borrow against my stack. If the merchant doesn’t accept any currency other than bitcoin, I either pay in bitcoin or find a different merchant. That’s all.

Yeah some “bitcoiners” get their panties in a bunch when someone mentions yield or crypto. You end up pushing people away from what is really important because of how unstable you are. We are all ambassadors of bitcoin so act accordingly.

I mean I get asked by crypto bros y I don't do crypto then I explain how it operates in the same economics as the dollar they aren't secure ran by a ceo and or company and they get upset hearing all that it's kinda crazy to see tbh
