I thought coffee was originally used in Africa.
I'm not sure about the origin, but from what I read - Turkish coffee was brought from Yemen during the Ottoman time, then spread into Europe. @0xbitcoiner

afaik the turks brought it to europe, the whole balkan peninsula drinks turkish coffee. don't know what's the matter with greeks, but i got once in a mini argument on sn over it. if you search for greek or turkish coffe, you get similar results

I think no need to argue about the origins of certain things, especially many things are so mixed up in this part of the world. šŸ‘€ ( many "Turkish" things are actually the Turks learned form Persian or the East. )
