Can Bitcoin enslave us all?

Covid lockdowns worked because they (those with power) convinced a good part of the population they were either
A: going to die
B: going to kill someone else (especially relatives)

Bitcoin has no such boogeymen. Banning Bitcoin in “free” countries would be a masks off moment with devastating consequences for existing power structures.
