Which party, republicans or democrats, makes you facepalm more often?
For me it is democrats. It might be because democrats are louder on the internet, but democrat induced facepalms has to be 5x-10x my republican induced facepalms. Today it was someone saying republicans are coldhearted because they think we can't help everyone. As if there is no scarcity in the world.

It's an addiction, and they will do everything, just to make sure the money printer never stops brrrrr'ing.

Currently the facepalm score is neck to neck, IMO.
For 1 republican facepalm, you require at leat 5 democrats facepalms. That's because they have 'jenius' Trump card.

They both do. Both sides seem ignorant of what is happening in the USA.

I'm in the same boat. I think it's because they're more isolated in their echo chamber, so they never actually learn what their opponents think about anything.
That explanation is consistent with Jonathan Haidt's work.

My family trained me to always vote, and more importantly only vote with the ones with a "D" next to their name. Non of it really made any sense to me. Now I do not participate but honestly, the dems are way more face palming for me. The woke shit is out of control. Like i said, I think its all nonsense, but that side is so cringy.

For me, it’s which ever side I’m talking to in the moment, haha
One fascinating thing I learned a few years ago… It’s personality, not beliefs, that tend to determine whether or not a person finds themself on the right or left. People on the left are typically more open and creative, and people on the more right are typically more structured and industrious. It’s usually personality that shapes worldview, not the other way around. There are obviously plenty of exceptions (although my personal theory is that if your political beliefs lean opposite your personality, you’re likely somewhere in the middle).
Therefore, we really need both sides. The strength of one makes up for the weakness of the other.
That is a completely foreign idea to both sides, and that’s main thing that makes me smh.
There’s a complete lack of curiosity about opposing perspectives, let alone consideration that there could possibly be truth to be found over there.
