A very good interview about Electrum wallet and how it uses trampoline channels.
Thomas Voegtlin first announced Electrum wallet in November 2011. At the time, he wanted to create a secure and accessible light wallet for Bitcoin. But over the next 11 years, Electrum became the most feature-rich wallet in Bitcoin – a free open source piece of software which enables you to do everything from recovering funds to connecting hardware wallets and setting up multisigs.
More recently, Thomas Voegtlin has been focusing on integrating a Lightning network client that doesn't require users to keep their nodes online 24/7. It's based on ACINQ's Trampoline node specifications, and it's technically similar to what you see in Phoenix wallet.
In this interview, Thomas Voegtlin talks about his latest Bitcoin and Lightning musings, but also reflects on some other contemporary phenomena that may influence the development of Bitcoin.

Found Electrum when looking for something to sweep a paper wallet into. Lucked into a most feature-rich, yet secure app.
