Hello Stackers!
I was posting an 'article link' and with that I wanted to post a tweet in 'options' under 'context'. While everything was good except that the Twitter link that I posted in 'write' under 'context' didn't show the original format.
I tried to search it with 'markdown' but I couldn't find any solution. But as I saw many posts who published a tweet with a link in its original format from x.com, I thought, I should ask it here as I am missing out something, may be.
Please reply. Thanks in anticipation.
I'm pretty sure SN only displays the tweet in twitter format when it is in the link field of a link-type post.
Twitter links in post-type posts or in the context field will just show up as a link.

I didn't get it. Why can't we have Twitter format everywhere? Isn't it thought to be a cool feature or inserting a Twitter link isn't a possibility?
Where are SN Devs?

it's just how markdown works, they shouldn't change it
reply
It's not about how markdown works. Instead, it's about allowing original tweet format insertion in the posts and context with links.

personally I couldn't care for twatter spam but if you really want it, they built the feature, just use the link box
And maybe read up about how markdown works. It's a standard, you won't see the behaviour you are looking for in other renderers
