In view of the massive costs of crossborder payments, one seriously wonders why mankind has not yet invented a better alternative. Some kind of a permissionless payment network or something similar. I have no idea!

Yes, it's ridiculous. People literally need to lose anything to start questioning things. It's the reason why in nations like Germany nobody has bitcoin - they are living off the work of two successful generations
