This is a game, I guess, though I haven't played it.
It's also a statement of philosophy, motivated in part by the work of Alan Watts. This link is from some of the audio from the game, which is cobbled together from some of his lectures. I have watched it approximately one million times over the last couple years, when things get too much to bear, and then I could bear it again.
Perhaps it will do someone some good.

Are you sure you haven't played it?
reply
In the philosophical sense I can be said to have played it. In the literal sense of downloading the game and playing it, I have not. I keep intending to, but you know how that goes.

Alan Watts has a brilliant way of expressing profound insights in a very accessible way. Thanks for sharing. The game aspect does not interest me, but I found the narrative inspirational.

OMG! Thanks! You reminded me one of my most favourite writers of modern era. I used to read him a lot. My favourite is the same 'We As Organism.'

I believe a bunch of the narrative was taken from that lecture, but other elements are cobbled together, too. You might know more about that.
The funny related thing, for me, is that Alan Watts is one of the candidates for people with the best voices of all time. I love listening to him talk. I wonder how much of his appeal comes from that? Like, would he be only half as possible with a normal voice?

When I first saw it I was confused too, I've watched a bit of gameplay and it feels like a caricatured versions of a science experiment.
Weird yet fascinating, it's a nice sandbox game.
Never played myself BTW.

Is this really a game or did I get tricked?

I'm curious. I'm a big fan of Allan Watts. Thanks for the share.
