My theory is that subconsciously I am remembering the old header and how the SN logo was on the left and launching the profile menu was on the right. 

I did also look at the few other apps I do use that have a footer nav bar on mobile and they do have a “home” menu item on the left. I’m not convinced I’m doing it because of this, though.
