Oh, man. I remember reading about this in one of the Baseball Hall of Shame books, but had completely forgotten about it.
You can imagine how much mileage this got with middle school boys.

Peterson and Susanne were married in 1974; his teammate and ex-wife never wed and broke up soon after.
