You wouldn’t go lobby the state to pass a law that gives you the right to eat. You wouldn’t lobby the state to give you the right to have sex and have kids, you wouldn’t lobby the state to pass laws that give you the right to breath air. These are all assumed as not needing permission for. So my question is why are so many bitcoiners worried about lobbying the state to pass laws with regards to bitcoin. Why are we lobbying state for the right to store a number on a computer… For the right to run a series of zeros and ones on a computer. It’s absurd to do what basically amounts to asking another person to give us permission to do math?
  1. Because they are NOT bitcoiners
  2. They are fucking idiots
  3. They are gov agents

That's a good question. I think most people should mind their own business.

How is the state a tool for me or you or any other individual? I would argue the opposite and have seen that those that ignore the state seem to have an advantage.

Because they don't want to risk going to prison due to the government misunderstanding bitcoin?

They would if governments forbid eating. Yes, they'd be eating while it's forbidden anyway, secretly, but they don't want to fear prison while eating.

Who is this "the government"?

Thanks for this image, I'll use it a lot. It's something I always say, there's no such thing as "The Government. The goverment doesn't think, it's not an entity, it's simply a word. What does exist is a bunch of people that come together and declare themselves as rulers, but at the end of the day it's still just a bunch of people
reply
The people with a monopoly on force where you live.
reply
That is just a dangerous superstition. Governments does not exist in real life, only in people beliefs.
Ask yourself this: who give a government the authority to do such atrocities over you, the simple individual? YOU! So stop giving them that consent. Authority comes from YOU, from your consent.
reply
Darth, I understand what you're saying, but this superstition puts people in prison everyday whether it's a superstition or not.

Would Ross Ulbricht have avoided a double life sentence if he had simply realized he was not a citizen?
All end up to this simple question (that is the essence of natural law):

No is not. They go to prison exactly because of their ignorance and fear. Stop living in fear and start studying about this stuff. I am very serious about this. I posted on SN several material about how to rebut ANY authority, bur yeah people nowadays are scared shit, but they like to complain.
I have news for you: stop complaining, you do not have that right to complain when you give away all your rights by being a slave citizen.
THE ONLY WAY PEOPLE WILL GET FREEDOM IS TO LEARN HOW TO BE A SOVEREIGN INDIVIDUAL. Until then... whatever they will do is meaningless and for nothing, they will continue being slaves. And no, Bitcoin will not fix this, Bitcoin is just a part of your sovereignty. If you continue being a slave citizen, you will never get out of fiat slavery, no matter how much bitcoin you have.
I know, people tend to ignore my advice, but they can never ignore the consequences of my advice...

If a “govt” was dumb enough to ban eating not only would people keep eating but also at the same time they should realize that that “power” is so corrupt and ignorant to the good of individuals that any lobbying would be pointless. Same logic can apply to math and bitcoin.
reply
Because they're in Bitcoin to make money or for the trend, they haven't studied enough and they don't really want to study either, they're not interested in being sovereign or anything like that.
reply
We need to educate those users of bitcoin if they feel the need to start asking for permission to use bitcoin, then the bitcoin they are using becomes worthless.
reply
One of the things is that governments tend to be skeptical and against those things that they do not know or understand. They also are heard from established lobbies that have immense power in the traditional finance space. With these two things in mind, crypto has to fight back to establish its own place.
It also breaks down to every industry has a voice in the state. So crypto should as well and if it doesn't that makes it seems illigeitment
reply
I’m not talking about crypto but if you mean bitcoin then I would disagree. Bitcoin does not need to fight govts to establish itself. Bitcoin works perfectly without the state and in fact that is the whole point of it, to separate the money and the state. Bitcoin and its users do not need permission from anyone and the minute bitcoiners think they have to ask for permission it defeats the whole purpose of being a bitcoiner.

Do not forget with who you are talking to... a gov employee/agent/statist

I love how you cannot stay away. You are addicted to coming after me when it has nothing to do with you. Pretty sad you can't hop off. I mean go ahead and farm for sats like you do. Keep commenting against me with the same BS every time I mean you do wrack up 100 sats each time so congrats. It's just sad you cannot for the life of you look outside your wrapped view of everyone working for the US's largest employer aka the government. It is just really pathetic but keep doing you for the sats I'll pray for ya bud gotta be a super unfulfilled life.

GTFO gov shit employee... I despise all gov kiss ass-ers, scumbags.

But Bitcoin is also extremely centralized at the moment with miners so there is an issue there as well. Something centralized is going to clash with the government no matter what it is. Also, why not educate the masses and not just put up a flight at every turn? Plenty of these coalitions that are lobbying are also putting money into today's education which is great for Bitcoin and crypto.
The masses and the government both really consider BTC crypto. Wheather you agree or not it is the general consensus that we have seen with various social studies.

The masses and the people that make up the government are wrong
reply
I am not saying your wrong it is one of those things that is how it is. BTC community needs to obviously do something about it to change the general public's mind but that is the line of thinking the masses are in.
reply
I disagree, bitcoin works just fine without the public understanding how it works and that it is different than shitcoins “crypto”. And to the bigger point of the post it has to work without permission from third parties or it has failed

What a giant bullshit you've just said...
