Why don't you add a section about how to setup a node + wireguard + VPS IP In this way user can get rid of crappy Tor that is really bad for a LN node. If I would run a public routing node I will never connect to a Tor only node. Tor is for watching porn not for running routing nodes!
With a clearnet IP from a VPS, you could run smoothly a full clearnet LN node. The wireguard tunnel will make possible to use the public IP from your VPS as the clearnet IP for your node. Without the need to have at home a public IP and also not revealing your location.
Also an important aspect: many noobs are struggling to run Tor nodes and connect their Zeus or Electrum SPV over Tor. That creates a lot of issues. Yes, they can use Tailscale or LNC, but with a VPS wireguard will not be necessary anymore.
Guys, please stop recommending to noobs to run Tor LN nodes ! It will affect the whole network !

I would appreciate if you would review my strategy ( https://docs.megalithic.me/the-gentlemans-guide-to-routing-nodes/gentlemans-networking-stack ) ... and tell me what you think might be wrong or could be improved about it!

It's funny that you flagged this issue because spent many, many hours on this exact problem... the existing Wireguard + VPS solutions were too difficult. I came up with a solution using Docker... which is still pretty complicated... but at least does not require the user to run iptables commands directly on any machine....

Yes, actually, I have a very long and detailed guide on Wireguard + VPS, which is included in these docs! https://docs.megalithic.me/the-gentlemans-guide-to-routing-nodes/gentlemans-networking-stack
