Logging into Stacker.News with Alby on a new phone - how?

I'm trying to do the "login with lightning" on stacker news. My account is setup with Alby. So - should I be able to go in Stacker.news to Settings, Login With Lightning, paste the generated code into Alby (in the Send), and then have everything work out?
It's not, though, I get "Connection Problem or invalid LNURL/Lightning Address" in Alby.

"Login with lightning" - LNURL Auth, is a bit tricky naming, and doesn't need to use the same node as your lightning wallet.
With Alby, it uses Master Key stored in the extension. Best if you log in with your preferred method, then 'unlink lightning' in Stacker.news settings, then link it again with your extension profile.

And I believe that's how it worked on my old phone. But that was a while back, so I'm not sure.
I pasted the lnurl into https://lndecode.com/ and it also says it's invalid.
