Yeah, if by scam you mean people do not understand how it works and are paying a lot of sats for something that has no significance. Yeah, its a scam.
I guess you'll have the receit of purchasing the "rare" sat, which is something.... not the same as owning the said "rare" satoshi
I would side with that view,
Some would say they're collectors, lol but The amount of people who subscribe to ordinals theroy is tiny so the chance you can convince someone to be the greater fool and pay you more for your sat is slim pickings, not that it can't happen
Lol 5 BTC for 1 satoshi, make it make sense
